Characters Present: Yukihyo, Tal Hil, Tilij, Ravvi
After infiltrating the Simic Growth Chamber and eliminating the small welcoming party, the group heads deeper into the facility – well, really it’s upward since they came in from the bottom, but ONWARD!
On the main floor of the facility, the adventurers discover a Vedalken standing in front of one of the chamber pods. His arms are buried up to the elbows, magically penetrating through the chamber’s viewing window.
Upon noticing the adventurers approaching, the Veldaken whirls and flips a lever opening the doors on several containment chambers around the room. Several Hybrid Shockers and Hybrid Brutes emerge from their tanks and charge the party. As the Vedalken scientist begins to flee, the chamber he was working on begins to open revealing a Category 2 Krasis that has been constructed by fusing several creatures together – including a very recognizable Krenko head!
Battle ensues and our intrepid adventurers charge into battle! The tide of battle quickly swings in favor of our adventurers. At one point, Yukihyo casts a spell which triggers her Wild Magic surge to go off and she begins shooting bubbles out of the bottoms of her feet that propel her into the air like a fuzzy Thanksgiving Day parade float. Fortunately, with some quick thinking and quicker hands, Yukhio is able to rummage through her pack and pull out her rope. She uses the rope to lasso herself onto the Mammoth form of Tilij (heh) and is able to anchor herself to him for the rest of the fight.
While the battle rages on around him, Tal Hil has focused his efforts on chasing down and restraining the Vedalken scientist as he attempts to flee. Despite several clever attempts to break free, Tal Hil is able to keep the scientist restrained through the battle.
With many Hybrids dispatched and one Krasis slain, Tal Hil is finally able to take a moment and properly restrain the Vedalken scientist and knocks him unconscious before stuffing him in a sack for transport. The adventurers also spend some time seeking out a cart that they can use to transport the corpse of the Krasis back to home base.
